Background

BrightRoad –Ontos Consulting Division- is developing Internet-ready software designed to provide commercial insurers with the ability to transact business better, faster and cheaper. As a Vertical Service Provider (VSP), the solution is an e-Business software system built specifically for the commercial property & casualty lines carrier featuring straight through processing that minimizes the need for manual intervention. The main objective/benefit of this solution addresses the insurance business –underwriting process, and applies the latest web technology to automate the submit-quote-bind process, thus reduces the time and costs required to quote new business. Reducing the manual effort required from duplicate entry and individual manual underwriting will result in faster turn around time and a reduced expense to bind high volume business.

ASSET’s role in this project – being chosen by Ontos to be a strategic technical partner – was a major contribution in the design and construction of the ASP solution. The project was designed, developed and managed on-site by ASSET. Team selection was based on diversified technical experience required by the customer that varied from system architects and designers to senior software engineering level.
